Dr. Melissa Yount is a licensed psychologist in Florida and Utah. As a clinical and forensic psychologist, she has conducted hundreds of evaluations and counseled countless adults as well as children in community mental health, college counseling, and inpatient settings.  Dr. Yount has been in private practice since 2014 and has over 15 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Yount, who is bilingual in English and Haitian Creole, focuses on counseling modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Behavior Emotive Therapy (REBT) for adults ages 18 and up. She offers psychological evaluations for a wide range of patients, including children as young as two years old and adults.

Her extensive educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Psychological Studies  with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University.  She also holds a Master of Science in General Psychology and Doctor of Psychology from Carlos Albizu University with a concentration in Forensic Psychology.

As an educator herself Dr. Yount previously served as Honorary Faculty for the University of Liverpool’s Laureate online Forensic and Applied MSc Programs.
